Gabensis, Papua New Guinea – The Morobe Mission 16th Business Session, which commenced on November 8, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Gabensis Adventist Primary School Hall, continued in an orderly manner on November 8, 2025, focusing on governance, nominations, and forward-looking initiatives.

𝗟𝗮𝗲, 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮, 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓– The Morobe Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is pleased to announce the upcoming 16th Business Session, a pivotal gathering that will shape the direction of our mission for the next quinquennium. This important event will bring together delegates, leaders, and members to review past achievements and plans for the future.

The session is scheduled to run from Friday, November 7, to Monday, November 10, 2025, and will be held at Gabensis Adventist Primary School. All members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Morobe Mission are encouraged to stay informed and prayerfully support this process.

TMI Mission Trip to Tami Island a Resounding Success

On September 21, 2025, the Finschhafen for Christ team, led by District Director Nixon Yuti, had a triumphant mission trip to Tami Island, attributing the success to the grace of God. The team expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to extend love and kindness through generous donations of food and essential supplies, reflecting the faith group’s commitment to serving God and expanding His Kingdom.

The mission was marked by exceptional cooperation and teamwork from pastors, missionaries, elders, and church members across the region, from the coast to the mountains and hinterlands of Finschhafen District. Their collective efforts showcased the strength and unity of the faith community in advancing gospel beyond their comfort zone.

𝙃𝙪𝙤𝙣 𝙂𝙪𝙡𝙛, 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 – On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Gabensis Adventist Primary School, nestled in the serene Huon Gulf District of Morobe Province, marked the beginning of a profound spiritual milestone. The school community gathered to initiate the creation of a Prayer Garden, strategically positioned at the highest peak of the campus, offering a tranquil sanctuary for students, staff, and visitors to commune with God.

This sacred effort led by the by the School administration , reflects the school’s deep commitment to fostering spiritual growth alongside academic excellence. 

On August 25, 2025, the Kabwum District marked a significant milestone with the successful connection of a mini hydro power system to the Kabwum Station Church and the District Director’s house. This achievement brings reliable electricity to the church and its leadership, enhancing their ability to serve the community.

The mini hydro power system, owned by Justin Andon, a local resident of mixed Bougainville and Morobe (Kabwum) heritage, was made possible through a collaborative effort. Pastor Hamilton Aguzi, the Kabwum District Director, recognized the need for a stable power supply to support church operations and the District Director’s residence. After discussing the church’s mission and operations with Mr. Andon, he graciously agreed to share the power generated by his mini hydro system with the church for a modest fee of K100 per month.
