The Morobe Mission Life Skills Training continued to empower participants on its third day with a hands-on session focused on the practical art of Citrus budding. Held at the picturesque training grounds of Ragiampun, the day was marked by enthusiasm and dedication from all involved.

The training, which aims to equip individuals with essential agricultural skills, saw participants eagerly engaging in the meticulous process of citrus budding. Led by experienced horticulturists and supported by local agricultural experts, attendees learned the intricate techniques involved in grafting citrus trees.

"This practical session is invaluable," remarked participant, a local farmer eager to enhance her farming techniques. "Learning the nuances of citrus budding directly from experts makes a huge difference. I feel more confident already."

The day began with a comprehensive theoretical overview, covering the fundamentals of citrus cultivation, the importance of choosing compatible rootstocks, and the precise methods required for successful budding. Following this, participants moved to the field where they were guided through every step of the budding process, from selecting healthy budwood to carefully making incisions and securing the grafts.

"I'm impressed with how quickly everyone grasped the techniques," noted lead instructor Robin Kofikae. "The participants showed great attention to detail, which is crucial for successful grafting."
