𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐲’𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐢 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡.

𝘠𝘰𝘯𝘬𝘪, 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵 10, 2025– The serene shores of Yonki Lake provided a picturesque backdrop for the joyous wedding ceremony of Tala Gul and Wendy Enghy, held at the Akai Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The Morobe Mission Communication and Media Department is delighted to share the highlights of this sacred union, which celebrated love, faith, and commitment in accordance with Seventh-day Adventist beliefs.

A Joyous Celebration of Love

Tala Gul, a dedicated member of the Morobe Mission Treasury Department, his role as an accounts clerk where he oversees accounts for all Adventist schools, and Wendy Enghy a Secondary School teacher exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony officiated by Pastor Kua Nugai, President of the Morobe Mission. The event was masterfully coordinated by Pastor James Dirye, Director of the Personal Ministry & Sabbath School (PMSS), who served as the Master of Ceremony.

The small yet charming Akai Church, nestled beside Yonki Lake, was filled with warmth and celebration as family, friends, and esteemed guests gathered to witness the couple’s commitment. Attendees included the Morobe Mission Treasury team, Directors, Secretary and President, alongside relatives of the bride and groom, all joining in unity to honor this sacred occasion.

A Covenant for Life

In his sermon, Pastor Kua emphasized that marriage is a lifelong covenant, divinely instituted by God to unite a man and a woman in love, trust, and mutual support. “Marriage is a sacred bond, reflecting God’s love for His people,” Pastor Kua said. “It is a commitment to walk together in faith, guided by biblical principles, to build a home rooted in Christ.” He encouraged Tala and Wendy to nurture their relationship with prayer, patience, and unwavering dedication to each other and to God.

The ceremony was a beautiful blend of faith, with heartfelt prayers, and blessings shared by the everyone. The presence of Morobe Mission’s leadership underscored the couple’s valued contributions to the mission, particularly Tala’s diligent service in managing the financial accounts of Adventist schools across the region.
