๐ ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฌ๐ช, ๐๐ถ๐จ๐ถ๐ด๐ต 10, 2025โ The serene shores of Yonki Lake provided a picturesque backdrop for the joyous wedding ceremony of Tala Gul and Wendy Enghy, held at the Akai Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The Morobe Mission Communication and Media Department is delighted to share the highlights of this sacred union, which celebrated love, faith, and commitment in accordance with Seventh-day Adventist beliefs.
A Joyous Celebration of Love
Tala Gul, a dedicated member of the Morobe Mission Treasury Department, his role as an accounts clerk where he oversees accounts for all Adventist schools, and Wendy Enghy a Secondary School teacher exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony officiated by Pastor Kua Nugai, President of the Morobe Mission. The event was masterfully coordinated by Pastor James Dirye, Director of the Personal Ministry & Sabbath School (PMSS), who served as the Master of Ceremony.

The small yet charming Akai Church, nestled beside Yonki Lake, was filled with warmth and celebration as family, friends, and esteemed guests gathered to witness the coupleโs commitment. Attendees included the Morobe Mission Treasury team, Directors, Secretary and President, alongside relatives of the bride and groom, all joining in unity to honor this sacred occasion.
A Covenant for Life
In his sermon, Pastor Kua emphasized that marriage is a lifelong covenant, divinely instituted by God to unite a man and a woman in love, trust, and mutual support. โMarriage is a sacred bond, reflecting Godโs love for His people,โ Pastor Kua said. โIt is a commitment to walk together in faith, guided by biblical principles, to build a home rooted in Christ.โ He encouraged Tala and Wendy to nurture their relationship with prayer, patience, and unwavering dedication to each other and to God.
The ceremony was a beautiful blend of faith, with heartfelt prayers, and blessings shared by the everyone. The presence of Morobe Missionโs leadership underscored the coupleโs valued contributions to the mission, particularly Talaโs diligent service in managing the financial accounts of Adventist schools across the region.
