The Markham 2 District Seventh-day Adventist Church stands as a vibrant and historic faith community within the Morobe Mission of Papua New Guinea. Spanning from Umi Bridge to Ramu Sugar, the district holds a significant place in the Adventist movement, marked by the historic arrival of Adventist missionaries at Ragiampun village. This rich heritage has fueled remarkable growth, establishing Markham 2 as a thriving center of spiritual life and community outreach.

The district is home to 10 organized churches, 23 company churches, and 11 grow-hand churches (newly established congregations), reflecting the dynamic expansion of its faith community. Guided by a commitment to share the love and teachings of Jesus Christ, the Markham 2 District continues to grow in unity and purpose.

A dedicated team of gospel ministers leads the district, including 7 ordained Pastors who provide spiritual leadership, 4 Ministers who nurture and guide the congregations, 8 Volunteers In Action (VIA) who drive community outreach and service, and 8 Bible Workers are untrained Laities serving in churches as missionaries in the Field. Together, they inspire and empower members to live out their faith through worship, fellowship, and service. The districtโ€™s total membership stands at 3,626, a testament to the vibrant growth and commitment of its faith community.
