Over four thousand Adventists from all over Morobe Mission attended the Bible Camp at Klin Wara over the weekend.

People came in truckloads to attend the bible camp with the number of children outnumbering the adults. The campsite had three stages built to accommodate the youths, the children and the adults for their separate sessions and devotions.

“We do not observe Easter,” said Pastor Enosh Enopa, Morobe Mission (MM) Personal Ministry and Sabbath School (PMSS) director at the closing ceremony. “We only used the opportunity of holiday to spread God’s word,” he added. People came from as far as Garaina, in the Mission’s Wau-Waria district to attend the bible camp

The Adventist health professionals also set up a mobile clinic tent with the help of the Morobe Mission Health department, helping those who fall ill during the weekend. The mobile clinic also treated several serious cases including a snakebite and several other food poisoning cases with most of them being referred to Wampar Health Centre.

The youths however, hosted the launching of the Senior Youth Leadership (SYL) curriculum during the week, prior to the bible camp with over 300 youths attending. Papua New Guinea Union Union Mission (PNGUM) youth director, Pastor Lonol Winnie, is the honoured speaker and facilitator to the SYL launching.
