As part of the worldwide movement of the Seventh day Adventist Church, Total Member Involvement (TMI) program came alive on Sunday, 22nd April 2018 at 9 Mile Bridge area. Boundary Road SDA Church combines with her two branch churches namely; Nine (9) Mile Garden Hill SDA Church and Nadzab farm SDA church, to host a “feeding the hungry program”.

The Women Ministry and Adventist Community Service (ACS) Department on Sunday spearheaded the “Feeding the Hungry” program, which was held at nine Mile bridge area in Lae, Morobe Province. The program itself was very successful and almost all the community living around that area took part in that special occasion.

The “Feeding the Hungry” program at first was held at Sialum compound within the vicinity of Boundary Road settlement in 2017. However, on Sunday was a highlight to all of 9 Mile area when the three churches participated in unity to officiate the program to fulfil one thing in common; proclaiming God’s love to the lost souls.

The three churches together organized a free take-away lunch pack with cordial and pure water as refreshments.  Almost all the departments from YPA’s, PM, ACS, WM, Elders, SBS, Building, Communication, etc… as a team combined to support the program.

Elder Philemon Jack highlighted the program by sharing a text from the Bible found in Ecclesiastes 3, “there is a time for every”. In addition, Ezekiel states that, “there will come a time when the hunger and thirst for God’s word will flood the whole world. Moreover, people will run back and forth in search for God’s word but will never find it. However, today is the time to surrender our life to God and stop being ignorant and selfish. Today or never, decision is ours to make.”
