Morobe Mission first ever Helt Tok hosted in Buhalu

Morobe Mission (MM) health department hosted its first ever health awareness at Buhalu Village in the Nawaeb district
last week.
MM health director, Mrs. Gabby Akui, hosted a three-day program, identifying common social and health issues such as childhood smoking and addictions, alcohol, drug abuse and lifestyle diseases. The program also promotes healthy living and ways to avoid other lifestyle diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
The ‘Helt Tok’ program was held nightly at the Buhalu Taro project building in Buhalu community on the 13th to the 15th of March.
The ‘Helt Tok’ program was also presented in the Sanghu Primary School on Thursday 15th of March by Mrs. Akui following an invitation. Mrs. Anthony, a senior teacher in the school also thanked MM health department for the initiative and the time made available for presentations in the school.
