Seventh-Day Adventist Church members in Lae, gathered together to witness the opening of the new branch of the Adventist Book Centre (ABC) by Morobe Mission in Eriku yesterday, 25th June 2017.
The newly opened shop was packed with people after the cutting of the ribbon by the General Secretary of the Papua New Guinea Union Mission, Pastor Henry Monape. A short devotion was also conducted by Pr. Monape which ended with a dedicatory prayer for the shop. Pr. Monape continued on by declaring the shop being opened for business.
“It was the missions goal and vision, to expose books and other mission resources, not only to the Adventists, but also to the non-Adventists,” said Mr. Densley Daniel, a long time serving shop supervisor for the Morobe Mission ABC shop.
“It was five years (2013 – 2017) since the opening of the first Morobe Mission run ABC shop in Two Mile, and being the only employee, we have faced many challenges,” said Mr. Daniel. “but to God be the glory, everything with God is possible,” he added.
The new branch was located in Eriku, on the upstairs of Chayter House, opposite the Kel’s Second Hand Clothing.
